History and Current Activity
Established in 2017, eyevee (Inlet Valley Arts Center) is an artist run non-profit organization. Its mission is to provide artists direct support through residencies, exhibitions, audio/visual performances, readings, publications, workshops, and other related projects. eyevee is currently housed at 653 Elmira Rd in Ithaca New York.
Mission and Vision
eyevee seeks to enhance the culture and vitality of the Inlet Valley region of Tompkins County by bringing contemporary art exhibitions, workshops, readings, concerts, and performances to the town of Ithaca, New York. We curate and organize events and exhibitions of works by local, regional, and national artists; sponsor multi-arts events; introduce the public to studies and issues in contemporary art through programs; and provide short-term residential workspaces for artists creating cultural works. eyevee believes artistic expression is a fundamental right and seeks to cultivate accessible pathways that support individuals in exploring their talents. This commitment is realized through programs that welcome those who have navigated periods of housing instability, as well as creators from immigrant communities, rural areas, and those with limited financial resources. Through workshops, mentorships, and exhibition opportunities, eyevee fosters an inclusive environment where personal stories and unique perspectives converge, enriching the entire community with a range of artistic voices.
