July 2024 Gallery Night w/ Julia Degroat

Julia DeGroat moved to Ithaca in 1995 after completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts as a Chairman’s Merit Award Scholar from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. She makes a living as an artist, creating hand-lettered signs & murals for local businesses, portraits and a bit of interior decorating- including Ithaca restaurants Mercato and Cafe Cent Dix. Most recent paintings explore light and the beauty of our natural world, with an emphasis on local flora, fauna and food.

Julia ultimately plans to travel to Africa to help apes and other endangered species through her art.

Join us in the Grayhaven Lounge for “Living Color,”  acrylics by Julia DeGroat.  5pm to 8pm on Friday July 5th.
